The latest features, improvements, and updates to Don't Double Book Me.
New Releases
Tag synced events with an Outlook category to color-code and filter them.Set a category name in a sync's settings and every event the sync creates in your Outlook calendars is tagged with it, so you can color-code and filter synced events. If the category is new, assign it a color once in Outlook and all synced events pick it up, including ones synced earlier. Google Calendar destinations keep the existing event color option.
New Releases
Add and remove calendars on an existing sync without deleting and recreating it.Choose Edit Calendars on a sync's settings page to add or remove source and destination calendars at any time. New calendars use your existing preferences and synced time window and start syncing right away, while your other calendars keep syncing untouched.
Improvements
Outlook Tentative and Out of office statuses now carry over to synced events. When a sync shows your real event details, an Outlook event marked Tentative or Out of office keeps that status on the synced copy instead of flattening to Busy. Syncs that hide your details behind a Busy block still show only Busy, and Google Calendar copies show Busy since Google has no equivalent statuses.
Synced events can now keep the original event's reminders.Turn it on for a sync under Advanced settings to copy each event's reminder onto its synced copy, instead of having no reminder. If both calendars are added to your phone, you'll get duplicate reminders.
Buffer and travel time merge into one block on Busy for everyone syncs. When a sync hides your details and shows only Busy, the buffer or travel time now extends that single block instead of adding separate events beside it. Syncs that show your real event details keep buffer and travel time as their own events.
Improvements
Buffer and travel time now sync as separate events.Instead of widening the synced event, your event keeps its real start and end while separate Buffer or Travel time events block the time before and after it.
Overnight events now keep their morning when it falls within your working hours. With working hours on, a block that runs from the evening into the next morning now mirrors its morning portion when that time lands inside your working hours, instead of being cut off at the end of the first day.
Improvements
Choosing how a sync works is now its own first step. When you create a sync, pick One-way or Two-way before choosing calendars. One-way keeps the familiar source and destination calendars, while Two-way simply asks for the calendars to keep in sync. You can switch between them at any point before saving.
New Releases
A single sync can now span many source and destination calendars.Set it up once and every source calendar mirrors onto every destination, all using the same preferences and event customizations.
Bidirectional syncs are here.Check the bidirectional box when creating a sync and events flow in both directions between every participating calendar. Every selected calendar must be writable.
Improvements
Events spanning the entire sync window are now mirrored.Long events like multi-month vacations or sabbaticals now appear on the destination calendar instead of being skipped.
Ongoing events from before a sync was created no longer flicker.Reconciliation no longer deletes and recreates mirrors of events that started before the sync was created but were still ongoing.
Calendar changes during a running sync now trigger a follow-up right away.Changes that arrive while a sync is already running no longer wait up to 12 hours to be picked up.
Deleting a sync now retries until every mirrored event is removed. No more stray Busy blocks left behind on the destination calendar when a deletion partially fails.
Syncs now prompt to reconnect when a destination connection expires. When a destination calendar's connection expires mid-sync, the sync shows a reconnect prompt instead of failing silently.
Microsoft Outlook syncs now recover automatically from expired checkpoints.Outlook syncs no longer get stuck when Microsoft expires our sync checkpoint.
Syncs now retry automatically when Google reports usage limits.Instead of failing until the next scheduled sync, syncs back off and retry when Google Calendar reports usage limits.
New Releases
You can now mark Free events as Busy on the destination calendar.A new advanced option flips Free events to Busy when they sync, so things like national holiday calendars actually block scheduling instead of looking transparent.
Improvements

New Releases
You can now add a 15 or 30 minute travel buffer to your synced events. The buffer is automatically applied before and after events with location data, so you have time to get where you're going.
Improvements
Disabled syncs now show why they're disabled instead of a generic message.Disabled syncs explain whether the source or destination calendar was deleted, the connection was lost, or the subscription lapsed.
Microsoft Outlook events no longer keep stale conferencing details. When an event override clears or replaces the event description or location, Outlook's conferencing details are cleaned up to match.
